The maxi-dresses are that audacious and feminine look that brings the summer heat. Chameleon garment and essential to have in the closet and use on almost any occasion. The best thing is that, contrary to what many believe, they are not only suitable and exclusive clothing for tall women, but thanks to their flight and ease, we can all use it!

Although they pecan to be the most elegant and nocturnal garment, we show you that its versatility allows us to wear a long dress, without renouncing the casual style. Yes! Night and day with the same dress! We show you how to transform it and give an upgrade to your looks.

When you choose one of our dresses at Lucy and Loo, you are not buying one model alone but many. In only a few steps you can take your convertible dress and make it look like a new one.

Day look with sneakers

May the day not stop you! Long live summer dresses and their daily use. The winning detail is good white sneakers, a neutral colour that combines with everything.

Inspiring sporty chic, it is a shoe that knows how to make a difference. This summer they not only come in white, but we can also wear them in metallic, avant-garde and super futuristic tones. The platforms? A MUST-HAVE.

Mix & match

The contrast of styles is a MUST: a maxi-dress can be feminine and in key rocker at the same time. How? Ankle boots, or leather jacket and details in denim. Textures and basic genres that are infallible allies of your flowered dresses during the day.

A tip? If you are not convinced to wear loose models, you can mark the waist to fit the dress. You achieve it with a thin belt, with a tie or even tying a jean jacket over the hips.

Night look transparencies

Of tulle or gauze, the maxi dresses with transparencies are THE trend of summer. Inspired by boho chic, but with a minimalist style, they turn to noble, modern and new genres, which are incorporated without measure into your night-time style. Add a minibag and taco shoes to go from day to night.

Flowered

Strident colours, full bloom and a lot, but a lot of wave. Who said that these prints are only reserved for the day? The XXL flowers are the protagonists of street style and wearing them in your dresses for the night is an infallible option.

The IT colours of summer? The tropical green and the furore combination of the fuchsia + red. Combine them with minimalist accessories in silver or gold tones to lift the night.

The maxi-dresses of vaporous fabrics, fresh, and very trendy take the prizes of the summer. It is impossible to face the heat season without one or two models that travel day and night.

What colours of the season favour me?

We know that we are going through a few days of very hot weather, but also we cannot stop seeing the street style that the NYFW left us and think about the trends of this winter. We are going to tell you, not only about the trends, but also how to adapt them to each one of us.

The colour

Colour is everything. Colour communicates, transmits, absorbs. Pay attention and they will see that they do not feel the same way one day they are dressed in black, one day they are wearing a furious red garment.

The subject is more complex than it seems because each skin, hair colour, eye colour, lip colour, etc., is different. That is why we all favour different colours. Did it ever happen to them that they did not have a drop of makeup on and they still put on a T-shirt of that colour and everyone told them how radiant they looked? That’s because they were unwittingly using the colour that illuminates them near their face.

Chromatic palettes

The counsellors divided the chromatic palettes of the skin into two groups, and in turn those two groups into 4. We give them a brief summary so they can identify which group they belong to.

  • WARM: Those that project a golden tone, that tan well and easy.
  • COLD: They usually have a red or pink complexion, are softer, paler and have a hard time tanning.

Warm-skinned people belong to the fall spring season, and those of cold skin to summer winter.

Do you dare to discover which group you are in?

Winter. The skin is usually olive or white. Hair, dark brown or black and eyes, black, dark brown, dark blue or gray.

Summer. The skin is usually beige, pink or pale. The hair, natural blond, ash or light, dark brown, light brown or reddish. Pale eyes, the colour of time, green, light blue or soft brown.

Autumn. The skin is usually yellowish to dark, golden beige or dark beige. Hair, red hair, light brown, golden blond, black or dark brown. Eyes honey, amber, dark brown or green.

Spring. The skin is usually peach, cream, beige or gold. Blonde, light brown or red hair. The clear eyes, blue, green or brown.

In the cold, the colours that fit well are the cold ones, that is, blue, pink, yellow, gray, etc. When you are winter you would be in your intense version, for example navy blue and when you are summer in the soft version; light blue.

On the other hand, warm colours are good for warm ones, such as camel, beige, board, orange, green, etc. Autumn in its darkest version and spring in its brightest version. For example, in the autumn it would be the camel and in the spring a light beige.

Arriving at the colours of this season we go season by season

Yellow: for the cold ones use it in its clear and pastel version and for the warm ones in its golden and shiny version.

Red: for the cold ones in its truest version and for the hot ones in a more orange version.

Blue: for the cold gray blue, Klein blue. For warm ones, a more greenish blue or dark blue.

Violet and magenta: for the cold ones: purple, lilac, lavender, fuchsia, magenta, shocking rose pink, pastel pink. For the warm ones: reddish violet, strong pink, yellowish rose.

The best way to know your colorimetry is to consult with an image consultant and she will tell you in detail what colours you favour and how to use them. These tips are for colours near the face, in lower parts give the pleasure of dressing what you want. Now yes, it’s time to fill our dressing rooms with a lot of colour!
