The fruits are refreshing, sweet and highly nutritious, and you can present them in several fun ways so that they like it much more. It is an ideal meal for children! You can make the salad by chopping the fruit into small pieces, placing them in a bowl and mixing them with orange juice, and then serving it in small cups with a teaspoon.
Another option? The skewers will love it! you just have to chop fruits like banana, melon, kiwi, pineapple, mango and strawberries, and then you cross them in a row with a wooden or plastic stick that you can get at any art store or the supermarket itself. You can also add chocolate syrup or strawberries to make it even more attractive to children.
With watermelon (pin) you can make a naturally refreshing lollipop. You just have to slice the watermelon on wheels, and these wheels cut them into triangles. With a knife you must pierce the peel and then cross it with a stick, just like with the previous skewers. Place it in the refrigerator and serve it cold.
You can also buy unsweetened jelly, make a base mixture sweetened with maple syrup and place diced fruits before putting it in the fridge. This will give the jelly a very funny “look” and from experience we tell you that children love it.
The options with the fruit are endless, you can also choose to make ice cream with frozen pulp or popsicles, just liquefy the fruits with a splash of water or natural juice and place them in ice cream moulds. If you do not have moulds, use some cups you have at home and place a wooden palette.
A super important trick! The problem of handling fruits is that some of them turn black very quickly after cutting them, examples of this are apples and bananas. To last longer without rusting, we recommend you take half a lemon and pass it to the fruit once peeled or add lemon juice to the cut fruits. This will make them last until the guests arrive without getting black.

Glasses of yogurt and granola
It’s super simple and it only takes 10 minutes. You just have to put all the ingredients in cups or dessert cups in layers: 1 layer of yogurt, followed by a layer of granola, another layer of fruits and so on until you fill in a container.
In Whole Food Market you can get granola by weight and we recommend Greek yogurt because it is firmer. If for some reason you cannot buy organic fruits, buy nuts (such as pineapple, watermelon, melon or apples) and peel them before preparing.
Flavour waters
We already know how little or nothing nutritious are soft drinks and juices that are not 100% natural. Best offers a refreshing natural lemonade or flavour waters.
The general formula is the same: filtered water + fruits + herbs and if you want you can add a little syrup of maple, stevia or honey.
Our favourites are:
Lemon, orange and ginger
Fill a large jar with filtered water and add 2 slices of lemon, 2 slices of orange and several slices of ginger. If you wish, you can add some sweetener and then some ice. Stir gently and let it sit for 1 hour before offering it.
Blackberry, raspberries, strawberries and mint
Add all sliced fruits in a glass jar, water and sugar. Stir for a while pressing the fruits so that they release a lot of flavour and colour. Let cool and serve.
To give it an original touch and that children will love, you can change half of the water for spent water. This will make it bubbly, refreshing and delicious!
Popcorn
Popcorn is very popular among children but unfortunately those that come ready to be served or prepared in microwaves are usually made with hydrogenated fats.
However, you can make them at home very easy. Simply take a deep pot, cover the bottom with coconut or avocado oil, cover the bottom with popcorn corn, cover, turn on the burner and wait for them to make “POP”. When the “POPS” are far apart from each other, it is time to remove from heat.
To season them, you can prepare a dressing of olive oil, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Or simply add onion powder or nutritional yeast.
In its sweet version you can add a mixture of coconut oil and honey.
Panela with lemon
The “paper” or “panela” is nothing more than the extract of sugarcane in its purest form. This is a drink that is served cold, very simple to prepare and super refreshing for the holidays, especially in summer, and that will also recharge the children’s energy.
You will only need ½ brown sugar, a litre of water and the juice of three lemons.
Place the brown sugar in the litre of water until it dissolves. Once at this point, add the juice of the lemons according to how acid you like it.
Adding lemon slices will make it more striking and will reinforce its flavour.
