There are three ingredients that have always quenched the thirst of the most demanding: water, fruit and sugar. And if the water is frozen or chilly, all the better. That is why it could not be said that a specific business invented this, however, there are combinations that work way better than others.
Remember that you will need a slushy machine to prepare one of these smoothies properly, here at Snow Flow you will find slushy machines that you can rent for your special event or party. We also have popcorn machines and other options to make your event more fun for all your guests.
Have you ever thought about why the blender is called blender? Because it serves to beat, obviously. But what if its name also comes from its excellent performance when we use it to make milkshakes? Whether you use a hand mixer or have a good glass mixer from the Jamie Oliver range, making smoothies is a simple task. Simply mix at different speeds ice cream of different flavors with milk, yogurt or fruit juices to get great ice cream and smoothies. Let’s see what you think about our suggestions.
The ice cream and milk classics
If you put a glass of cold milk in the blender and add two or three balls of ice cream, you will get a thick and very cold milkshake that you can enjoy. Our three favorites among the classics are:
- Chocolate Milkshake: Perhaps the chocolate milkshake is the favorite milkshake for most. A special trick, uses different types of chocolate: Chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup and even cocoa powder. To make it homemade, put in the blender all the ingredients, add a glass of cold milk and beat until you see the foam. Ready to freshen up and make you enjoy.
- Strawberry Milkshake: Another of the classic American milkshakes or milkshakes. You can do it with strawberry and milk ice cream balls, or add some cream if you want it thicker. Decorate with a strawberry floating in the center or cut one into slices to decorate the edge of the glass and smile, which a good strawberry milkshake always makes happy.
- Vanilla Smoothie: This is another of my favorite ice cream shakes. Three balls of vanilla ice cream, if possible homemade, a glass of cold milk and a spoonful of honey.
Without anything else, with the spots of the authentic and very thick vanilla most people like it. If you want it to be more sophisticated, put a wafer of ornament and to the table.
Creamy smoothies or smoothies
Traditionally smoothies are combinations of frozen fruit – it can also be traditional fruit and ice – although lately it is common to complete them with some dairy such as evaporated milk (in some places if they include milk they are called shakes), fresh cheese or yogurt. These are the ones we recommend.
- Smoothie with red fruits: The simplest of smoothies. Put frozen berries and crush them in the kitchen robot. You will get a kind of very cold earthy porridge. Add 50 ml of liquid cream and a tablespoon of honey. Crush and you will see that delicious flavor.
- Pineapple and mango smoothie: Two intense flavoured fruits that combine very well. You can add 100 ml of coconut milk and you will be delighted with the result. It will seem that you have moved to the Caribbean.
- Banana and Apple Smoothie: Banana gives a creamy and thick touch and the apple an unmistakable freshness. If you add some mint leaves and crush it all together, the result is frankly surprising. Nuts also do very well, both inside the shake, to give it more body to decorate it.
- Lemon and condensed milk smoothie: Mix in a bowl a small can of condensed milk with the juice of three lemons and 400 ml of evaporated milk. Stir manually with some rods and you will see that it seems that the dairy is cut by the action of the lemon.
Now take the hand mixer and beat at full speed. You will notice how the milkshake thickens at times. Serve in tall glasses and decorate with a cherry so that it contrasts better.
Smoothies with yogurt
They are increasingly imposed, due to the properties of yogurt and the creaminess of the resulting smoothie. Whether you prepare them with plain yogurt or flavored yogurts, the results are very pleasant and remind you of smoothies made with ice cream balls.
- Yogurt smoothie with banana and strawberry: It is an ideal milkshake for children since they like this mixture very much. Use the proportion that you like between one fruit and another so that the flavor and color of strawberries or bananas predominate. You can use a Greek yogurt, a measure of strawberry yogurt and half a banana. Crush and go.
- Tropical yogurt smoothie: Use 1 coconut-flavored yogurt, and that measure to add three tropical fruits. One mango, another kiwi and another papaya. Crush at medium speed to make it creamy. Try how sweet it looks in case you have to add some honey.
- Yogurt and berries smoothie: Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and currants, the so-called berries are sold frozen and are very comfortable to make smoothies. Use a yogurt measure of these fruits and add a Greek yogurt. As they are often acidic, it is convenient to incorporate two tablespoons of icing sugar before whisking. Garnish with mint leaves.
- Melon, banana and orange smoothie: If you have the different fruits in the fridge and the yogurt is also cold, you will get a refreshing smoothie to cool off in summer. Two slices of melon, 1 banana, the juice of 2 oranges and a sugary yogurt. You do not need more than to put it in the glass of the blender and to crush. Surely with these eleven combinations you do not lack ideas to fight the heat.
